Music City Marathon

Jonathan is setting out this Saturday to run in the Music City Marathon. I am so proud and excited for him! He has been training so hard for this and I know he will do well! It is so amazing to see the things someone can accomplish with encouragement and determination!

Dibrelll 5K

I ran my first 5K today at the Dibrell 5K Fun Run. Although I did not have the best time I am just really proud that I did it. Jonthan came in 3rd Place in the men's group. I am so excited and wanting to run even more! All of Jonathan's running pals met me and re-ran with me the last part of the 5K. They were so encouraging and motivational. I appreciated that so much because I thought I was going to hurl or stop running!!! Tiffany kept Jackson and took pictures for us! It meant the world to me to have my son there. There are some things in life that I want for my family and I want to make sure that my son knows the importance of exercise and being healthy! The only way to TEACH a child is by EXAMPLE! I just pray that Jonathan and I can set an example for Jackson!

Worried....

I have been worried about my mother now for the past few months. Just recently she went to the doctor and was told that she has osteoporosis in her spine and hips. That is really alarming to me. I worry about her getting older and I wish she would take better care of herself. My mom is the type of woman who always puts everyone else's needs in front of hers. I also worry because I want her to stay healthy for as long as possible and to be able to do things with my son. Jackson loves his nana very much and I pray that she starts feeling better soon.

Jackson's Baby Parade!

We went to the 3 Star Mall today for the 2007-2008 Baby Parade. RiverPark Hospital put on the baby parade for any babies that were born in the last year. It was fun to see some of the nurses that helped deliver Jackson and see all the other babies that he will be growing up with. I know most of my friends have had their children out of town, but I applaud the Family Birth Unit for all they did for me and my family!!!! I had an amazing experience at River Park. Jackson got a little cranky waiting to walk across the stage, but he did really well. I don't know what we would have done if Jaime had not been there with Kinsely's rabbit though. HaHa!

It's been a while!

It has been a while since I last logged in and posted something..... I have started running and I am proud to say that I will be attempting my first 5K April 19th! Jonathan and I have been so busy with remodeling, chasing after Jackson, and keeping up the busy day to day tasks.
